Kristine Donnan is in demand as a piano accompanist, répétiteur, conductor and organist across Scotland. She is Musical Director of Edinburgh Studio Opera, and also directs the Glasgow Caledonian University Choir and the Carlisle Choir. She is pianist for several RSNO community choirs, the Kelvin Choir and is répétiteur and assistant musical director for Byre Opera‘s current production of Le Vin Herbé. She is also Director of Music at Uddingston Old Parish Church.

Kristine holds a Masters in piano accompaniment from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where she received the Piano Accompaniment Award as well as the Sam Hutchings Scholarship for Piano Accompaniment. Previous MD appointments include the EUMS Sinfonia and the Glasgow Cathedral Choral Society. She was répétiteur for Noise Opera in 2024.

Kristine has trained in orchestral conducting with Will Conway and Robert Houlihan and in art song with Iain Burnside and Joseph Middleton. She has worked with Stephen Doughty, accompanying with the Belfast Philharmonic Choir and as répétiteur with Northern Ireland Opera and Opera Festival Scotland.

Kristine is an organist and an arranger and composer of vocal and organ music, has performed in masterclasses with Dame Gillian Weir and Kevin Bowyer. She was awarded a City of Culture award of £10,000 to curate a concert of New Music where she commissioned Irish composers and musicians to have their music performed. 

Kristine is a popular and passionate pedagogue who aims to give pupils and upcoming musicians opportunities and holistic support in their music journey and career.
